Tusla Briefing Sessions for Mandated Person and Designated Liaison Person (DLP)
In collaboration with Tusla and National Child Safeguarding Programme; Early Learning and Care, Roscommon CCC we are now offering Tusla Briefing Sessions Mandated Person and Designated Liaison Person (DLP) open to all staff in our childcare services in County Roscommon. Places are limited and will therefore be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Online Briefing Session – Mandated Person (MP) :
This session is aimed at mandated persons in Early Learning and Care services. The session explains the roles and responsibilities of mandated persons under the Children First Act, 2015, including understanding legal obligations and making reports to Tusla. Priority on this session should be given to mandated persons who may be new to their role or who require a refresher on the roles and responsibilities of mandated persons.
PLEASE NOTE ALL PARTICIPANTS AT THESE BRIEFING SESSIONS MUST COMPLETE THE TUSLA ELAERNING PROGRAMME PRIOR TO PARTICIPATION
We may also have a few places remaining on Designated Liaison Person (DLP) as this had to be rescheduled due to the HSE cyber-attack, emails have been issued to those previously booked in with Irene

Online Briefing Session – Designated Liaison Person (DLP):
This session is aimed at those in the DLP or Deputy DLP roles in ELC and SAC services. This session will explore the roles and responsibilities of the DLP/DDLP. THIS IS NOT DLP TRAINING. IT IS A BRIEFING SESSION ON THE RESPONSIBILITES ASSOCIATED WITH THE ROLE OF DLP/DDLP.
This session is particularly aimed at those who may be new to the DLP or DDLP role and have been unable to access training since their appointment.
PLEASE NOTE ALL PARTICIPANTS AT THESE BRIEFING SESSIONS MUST COMPLETE THE TUSLA ELEARNING PROGRAMME PRIOR TO PARTICIPATION
For bookings, we will need you to complete the booking form (attached) with participants name, the service you work in, the email address you wish the training invitation to be sent to and state the training you are booking for (you can book for both sessions) and you must confirm that you have completed the Tusla Always Children First e learning programme.
