Na Fea Preschool at St. Marys NS are recruiting Childcare Practitioners:

We are currently looking to hire 2 childcare practitioners for a new preschool opening in Knockcroghery village, Co. Roscommon. Experience is essential.

Duties:

– In line with the Aistear Curriculum, plan and implement an age appropriate curriculum, based on children’s interests

– Document children’s learning and progress using iPad technology

– Comply with the Policies and Procedures of our service

– Ensure the safety and well being of the children in our service

– Assist in the daily cleaning routine.

Qualifications:

– Preferably Level 6 where candidate is seeking to progress to Level 7/8

– Excellent interpersonal skills

– Must be fluent in spoken and written English

– Be familiar with Early Years Regulations and Siolta and Aistear frameworks

Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.

Experience with Tusla and DES inspections

The candidate would preferably have up to date training in First Aid Training, Child Protection, Manual Handling, full drivers licence and good i.t skills

Our service operates from the end of August to the end of June (term-time only contracts) The position is our preschool room located in St. Marys national school, in Knockcroghery village.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to €16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
