Invitation to attend Charity Trustees’ Week 2020

Running from the 16^th – 20^th November 20202 Charity Trustees’ Week is a great big THANK YOU to charity trustees across Ireland for the important and tireless work they carry out throughout the year. This year’s series of events is going virtual to allow charity trustees to take part from the comfort of your home or office.

Charity Trustees’ Week is hosted in partnership by the Charities Regulator, Boardmatch Ireland, Carmichael, The Wheel, Volunteer Ireland, Charities Institute Ireland, Pobal and Dóchas. Charity trustees can pick and choose from a variety of events listed on the Charity Trustees’ Week website here.

The Charities Regulator will be hosting two events which you can register for below.

What: Charities Governance Code – The Road to Compliance

When: Tuesday November 17^th 2020

Time: 3pm – 4pm

The Charities Regulator invites you to attend our Charity Trustees’ Week event Charities Governance Code – The Road to Compliance webinar. As charities look to report on compliance with the Charities Governance Code in 2021, hear from senior staff of the Charities Regulator and charity trustees about the road to compliance with the Code. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the Governance Code.
The first webinar will take place via Zoom at
3pm on Tuesday 17^th November.

Registration is FREE but you must register by 5pm on Monday 16^th November.

Topics to be covered include:

• Key dates for complying with the Charities Governance Code
• Reporting on your charity’s compliance with the Code in 2021
• “My charity’s road to compliance” – in conversation with a charity trustee
• Audience Q&A session
